About Us
Arriving in Australia from Sicily, Italy in 1963 with no more than a suitcase and a dream, the late Cavaliere de Lavoro Comm. Sebastiano Pitruzzello OAM, AM became one of Australia’s first independent cheese makers when he established the Pantalica Cheese Company in 1973.
Sebastiano’s legacy and love for cheesemaking lives on today through his dedicated and passionate family: His son, Biagio Pitruzzello – General Manager of Production. His son-in-law, Steven Italiano- General Manager of Operations. His daughter, Antonella Italiano – General Manager of Business and daughter-in law, Antonietta Pitruzzello – General Manager of Administration.
Family owned and operated, the Pantalica Cheese Company can proudly celebrate 50 years to the ancient art of cheese-making and also its commitment to new product development.
