SPAGHETTI
bolognese
Spaghetti Bolognese, originating from Bologna in northern Italy, is a beloved classic known worldwide for its rich, hearty meat sauce. This easy version captures the flavours that have made it a favourite for family dinners, weeknight meals, and casual gatherings everywhere.
INGREDIENTS :
500g spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
500g minced beef
1 × 400g can chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried Italian herbs
Salt & pepper
Grated Parmesan, to serve
[ serves 4 people ]
STEPS :
Heat olive oil in a pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft
Add minced beef and cook until browned
Stir in tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, herbs, salt, and pepper
Simmer 15–20 minutes until thickened
Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente, then drain
Combine and serve
Toss spaghetti with the sauce
Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan
