Halloumi with yoghurt & lemon
Halloumi fries with yogurt and lemon take inspiration from Italy’s love of simple, fresh flavours. Crispy, golden halloumi is perfectly paired with a creamy, zesty lemon yogurt dip, making it an ideal starter, light snack, or shareable plate for any occasion.
INGREDIENTS :
250g halloumi cheese
3 tbsp plain flour
Vegetable oil, for frying
½ cup Greek yogurt
1 tbsp lemon juice
Zest of ½ lemon
Fresh parsley or mint, chopped (optional, for garnish)
STEPS :
Prepare the halloumi: Slice halloumi into thick fries, then lightly coat in flour.
Heat oil in a pan and fry halloumi in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towel.
Mix yogurt with lemon juice and zest. Serve fries hot with the yogurt dip and optional herbs.
